All Saints Primary School. Redlands, Eastern Villages

Hatcher Prichard Architects has designed the All Saints Primary School in Redlands, the first of the Eastern Villages, Swindon.

It is a 420 place (2FE) primary school (4-11) accompanied by a 72 FTE places Nursery (2-3 & 3-4).

The school is to be operated by the Diocese of Bristol Academies Trust (DBAT), a Church of England Diocese Trust based in Bristol. It will be a flagship Church of England primary academy adjacent to the Village Square at the heart of the new village.

Designed to be carbon neutral in operation and built using high quality finishes throughout, the intention is for the school to be an outstanding school that acts as a catalyst to raise the quality of primary education across Swindon. The built environment of the academy will influence and raise expectations and the design will enhance and support a culture of high achievement.

It is intended that this Primary Academy with early years and primary provision will be at the heart of this embryonic new community and will grow in size, year on year, over a 5-to-6-year period, starting from an initial intake of Nursery and Reception year groups.
