I am the Project Manager for the Newcastle Schools BSF project which comprises the construction of 16 new schools. I have total responsibility for all design and construction activities. I have been involved in this scheme from the beginning of the bid stage through to the successful delivery.

Simon Hatcher, who was employed by Parsons Brinckerhoff as Project Architect, was part of the bid team and was also responsible for the delivery of the design solution for a number of the schools in the scheme. He actively engaged with the school staff and pupils to develop the concept designs with infectious enthusiasm. This proved to be instrumental in the success of our bid and developing relationships with the end users. His designs were striking and imaginative.
